The continuous development of network technology has profoundly transformed the daily production and lives of human beings. However, it has also given rise to numerous new forms of cybercrime, leading to the proliferation of certain cybercrimes. Assisting information network criminal activities constitute a crucial aspect of cybercrime. In 2015, the promulgated Criminal Law Amendment (IX) listed it as an independent offense. However, due to the problem of unclear judicial interpretation, the crime has been in a state of cold storage for a long time until 2019, when the Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate promulgated the Interpretation of a Number of Issues Concerning the Application of Law to the Handling of Criminal Cases of Illegal Utilization of Information Networks and Helping Criminal Activities on Information Networks and Other Criminal Cases the crime has gradually begun to be applied in large quantities. In recent years, the crimes of assisting in information network-related criminal activities has been on the rise, but there have been numerous objections and lack of consensus regarding the determination of subjective knowledge in judicial practice and the theoretical community. Novels created by Chinese American writers are expected to reveal certain situations in Chinese American immigrant families. Family conflicts can be combined with more social problems, such as racial discrimination, gender discrimination, political suppression, and the discussion of ancestry and familyhood. First and second-generation Chinese American writers have different perspectives and techniques to blend family conflict with social problems, but their works also have features in common. The paper compares Crazy Rich Asians, A Thousand Years of Good Prayers, The Bonesetter’s Daughter, and Everything You Never Told Me to analyze their plots, characters, and the backgrounds of their authors, respectively, to conclude these Chinese American writer’s techniques similar, or variable, and the causes to such differences. In general, the writing methods of Chinese American writers and their techniques are closely related to their educational experience and cultural background. Different degrees of relation with Oriental culture and moral values lead to various points of view expressed in stories. A lack of knowledge of Asian traditions may lead to misinterpretation of certain behaviors, but this might also prompt writers to introduce the better part of Asian traditions. As writers often get inspiration from surrounding people and events, settings, plots, and characters can also be seen to reflect the writers’ cultural and educational backgrounds.

A Research of Impact of TikTok on Gender Stereotypes in China

Now, with the development of the Internet, advanced communication technology continuously extends and expands people’s senses. Notwithstanding such a mind-boggling data society, individuals are handily caught in the pseudo climate developed by mass correspondence. The orientation jobs characterized by society are additionally communicated in various ways in the media. The media often portrays men as strong, brave, and capable of decision-making, while women are portrayed as weak, dependent, and gentle. This media promotion not only affects people’s way of thinking but also affects society’s perception and evaluation of gender roles. When orientation generalizations are shaped, they are hard to break and can altogether affect individuals’ mental cycles. Through small-scale interviews, this study aims to investigate TikTok’s gender stereotypes. The examination subjects were a 17-year-old male and a 17-year-old female secondary school understudy, a 40-year-elderly person and a 40-year-elderly person. The results show that Tiktok has a positive impact on male and female stereotypes of high school students. The two high school students agreed that watching Tiktok helped them eliminate some inherent stereotypes. The two middle-aged people unanimously said that watching Tiktok eliminated some of their inherent stereotypes. The significance of the research is that the images of men and women presented by the media become more realistic and reasonable in terms of social roles, allowing women to truly break free from the stereotypes brought about by this deeply rooted patriarchal discourse.

“More Foosball and Beer”: Urban Life and Precarious Masculinity in Friends

This paper intends to explore the precarious masculinity in the celebrated sitcom Friends by considering it alongside the urbanization in the United States in the 1990s, which was overlapped with the development of post-feminism, neoliberalism, and the third industry. This paper intends to show that masculinity in Friends is demonstrated as precarious and instable, whose preservation relies on the repetition of certain gendered rituals, acts and ornamentations. This is because body politics, shaped by discourses about urban masculinity operates in a subtle way in Friends, governing and regulating the male characters, which leads to their self-scrutiny against homosexuality and femininity. A celebrated cultural icon, Friends continues to attract audiences around the world and its popularity can be taken as a projection of the nostalgia/expectations of a prosperous era. However, it is important to understand that Friends should be viewed as representations of a certain era, instead of an icon of universal values and expectations of lifestyles, because values regarding gender, race, and identity are no longer appropriate today and neoliberal boom which provided the context for Friends has already suffered from a bankruptcy.

How Advertisements Affect Consuming Decisions of Buyers

In today’s rapidly evolving market, understanding consumer psychology is crucial for businesses to effectively promote their products and entice customers to make purchases. Building upon the analysis conducted by Balci and the fifteen other articles on market psychology, this article delves deeper into the various components of advertising, methods of promotion, and the effectiveness and practicality of product promotion in different contexts. Moreover, it explores how visuals, sounds, and celebrity endorsements influence consumers’ desire to purchase, and how cultural differences between Eastern and Western societies shape consumers’ perception of products. The power of visuals in advertising cannot be underestimated. Marketers have long understood the impact of visually appealing advertisements on consumers’ decision-making processes. Visual stimuli can evoke emotional responses, which in turn influence consumers’ desire to purchase a product. The combination of visuals and sounds can create a powerful sensory experience, making the advertisement more memorable and persuasive.

Debunking Biases: A Critical Analysis of Western Media Reports about China’s Belt and Road Initiative

This paper will examine and debunk some of the negative claims that many US and Western media outlets made regarding the Belt and Road Initiative (One Belt One Road, or BRI). There are plenty of articles published by news organizations in the US that claim China has used unfair measures to take advantage of the host countries, including the debt-trapping of Sri Lanka. This paper will seek to examine and debunk some of the claims that are prejudiced or factually incorrect. To prove the argument of this paper, articles from US and Western newspapers have been examined. After recording the claims of these articles, these claims will try to be corroborated or debunked by looking at how media from the host countries regard and respond to the issue. After the examination, the claim of the debt-trap of Sri Lanka in the Hambantota Port Deal has been proven as improbable. This is because a large number of their domestic media and studies about Sri Lanka reveal that the project actually benefited Sri Lanka by creating a large number of jobs and funding. In addition, the deal seems to have been initiated by Sri Lankan politicians, removing the fault completely from China. Media in other countries such as Myanmar, Cambodia and Pakistan have also been analyzed, proving a majority positive public opinion towards the BRI.

An Analysis of Comments Promoting Cultural Transmission in the Streaming Media Era Through Translation

In the past several years, streaming media has developed rapidly, which also provides a huge stage for cultural transmission. People can learn more about different cultures and enjoy different beautiful scenery by using mobile phones. However, cultural communication is not as easy as expected. The cultural disparities and cultural diversities make it difficult for people with different cultural backgrounds to understand different cultures, and sometimes it even leads to cultural conflict. Translation has always been regarded as a marginal subject. However, in cross-cultural communication, translation is an essential tool, and the importance of translators is far from that of artificial intelligence. The communication between different cultures requires interpreters to exert their subjective initiative. In today’s cultural integration, it is essential to promote cultural communication. On the base of some cross-cultural phenomena, this paper focuses on three aspects to find the better method which can promote cultural communication, promoting a better development for culture.

Linguistic Analysis of Note-taking Strategies in Consecutive Interpretation Based on Saussure’s Structuralism

Note-taking is simultaneously a key feature and a widely used tool in consecutive interpretation. Based on Saussure’s Structuralist Linguistics, this essay attempts to evaluate current studies and strategies of CI note-taking and generate further understanding of note-taking procedure from a linguistic perspective. It is interested in three key aspects: theoretical explanation of the course of note-taking, theoretical analysis of current note-taking methods, and developing criteria for note-taking effectiveness. By correlating and analyzing Saussure’s theory and note-taking studies, this essay will approach these aspects in the following sections. It develops three continua to identify the key aspects of different note-taking strategies: the diversity of symbols, the length and number of words, and the preference for either words or symbols. The conclusion suggests that all CI note-taking strategies are fundamental variations of the distribution of two key resources, cognitive load and time, to achieve two objectives: to serve as auxiliary memory and language reminder. The three continua represent two basic features of notes: volume and language dependency. Despite different focuses on various strategies, practitioners are suggested to adopt a method suitable for their specific capabilities.

A Literature Review Study of the Creative Structure of Oedipus the King

Oedipus the King is one of the three great tragedies of ancient Greece, and Aristotle gave it a high evaluation in his work Poetics. The core of this article is to study the creation structure and plots of Oedipus the King from Aristotle’s theory of tragedy. This article is divided into three parts: introduction, literature review and conclusion. Through these three parts, the author will summarize the current research status, research views and shortage of Oedipus the King. Through the research, the author finds that Oedipus the King has three main characteristics in the plot: the closed dramatic structure, the application of “retrospective method” and the perfect use of “sudden turn” and “discovery”. In addition, the current scholars’ research mainly focuses on the external drama conflicts of Oedipus the King, but the internal reasons for the series of “action” of Oedipus are not studied enough. Therefore, the author believes that only when scholars have a deep understanding of the definition of “action” in the Poetics can they obtain the creative research results of Oedipus the King.

A Literature Review on the Structure of Portrait Exhibition ——Taking Teahouse as an Example

Lao She’s Teahouse has always been a research hotspot in academic circles, but there are relatively few academic studies on the “portrait exhibition” drama structure in Teahouse. This paper mainly adopts the method of literature research, and studies the articles on the dramatic structure of the portrait exhibition in Tea House and other articles on the research of the portrait exhibition structure from three aspects: the connotation, advantages and application of the portrait exhibition. Judging from the current research status, in-depth research on the “portrait exhibition” structure is obviously insufficient. Most of the relevant articles have mentioned it when studying structural art, but have not conducted in-depth research on it. These articles either discuss it as a part of structural art or analyze the role of portrait exhibition style through the creation of scripts, but they have not conducted comprehensive and systematic research and discussion on it. This literature review hopes to sort out the research progress of the predecessors by sorting out the relevant literature, and at the same time clarify the ideas for the future paper writing.

The dialect of Spanish is a result of choice of history and survival of the fittest in the long run. It is also a kind of intuitive composition of a language. The identity of a language reflects the origin of it. Some languages that have similar identities to Spanish can also be good examples to help to explore the rules of Spanish language system. Here Portuguese is chosen to be compared with Spanish from the aspects of morphology and phonology. The above five aspects are the basic directions for people who are not familiar with Spanish to realize it. The purpose of the paper is to provide a reference for the linguistic beginners and give them an effective comprehension of Spanish through systematic integration and elaboration.
