Research on Public Policies to Promote the Organic Connection Between Rural Revitalization and Poverty Alleviation

Poverty alleviation is foundational to maintaining China’s comprehensive progress towards a moderately prosperous society. Rural revitalization is a crucial measure to further realize the modernization of agriculture and rural areas. The organic connection between these two is a focal issue in the development process of China's agricultural and rural areas, playing a strategic support role in achieving China’s second centennial goal. Based on this, this paper focuses on the organic connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in the new era. By summarizing the basic background and overall connotations of both, and employing a research methodology that integrates theory with practice, this study explores the achievements and inherent logical relations of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization at this stage, as well as the strategic significance of their integration in various aspects. With the shift of strategic focus to the "three rural issues," promoting the organic connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization may face challenges from group coverage, spatial scope, work objectives, task deadlines, and policy allocation in the future. Therefore, this paper further proposes feasible suggestions for the implementation of governance policies that promote the organic connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization from the perspectives of people, society, organizations, institutions, and development.

The basic block texture and design principles of historical preservation districts in Qingdao originate from the urban design carried out during the German colonial period in Qingdao, and the urban design during the German colonial period was mainly guided by the Sitte’s urban design philosophy prevalent in the West in the early 20th century. Camillo Sitte’s urban design philosophy, which adheres to artistic principles, criticizes pure functionality and calls for humanistic spirit, advocates for the harmony between technicality and artistry, and adopts a speculative attitude. This paper will focus on analyzing the significant importance of its humanistic spirit in urban design and its application in guiding the protection and renewal of historical districts in Qingdao.

Critical Analysis of the Application about Multilingualism in Education Contexts with the Case of Singapore

Discussions on multilingual education arising from multilingualism have been a very popular topic in recent years. In multilingual education, languages other than the dominant language are usually recognized as the language of instruction. This model of education arises from different sociolinguistic contexts and needs to take into account the use of the language it involves and the relative status of that language. This paper critically analyzes the policy of multilingualism in education promoted in the Singapore region as a case study, and goes on to point out that multilingualism in education as an important resource cannot be guided by state policy while providing better developmental resources and economic value to individuals. Multilingualism in education should place indigenous, national, and official languages on an equal footing and promote the development and prosperity of multiple languages.

Understanding the Fate Views of Ming Dynasty Literati Through “A Fortunate Man and Dongtinghong”

In the Ming Dynasty, two distinct views on fate emerged among literati: “predestination theory” and “changing fate theory.” The former adhered to the acceptance of predestined fate, denying subjective agency, believing that fate cannot be altered by individual efforts. The formation of this perspective was closely related to the disillusionment of literati in their careers and the harsh reality brought about by the intense competition in the prosperous commodity economy of the Ming Dynasty. Analyzing this phenomenon is conducive to understanding the contradictions between Ming Dynasty monarchy and the development of the commodity economy, as well as the external manifestations of self-contradictory thoughts and influencing factors. Utilizing the method of literature review, this study primarily interprets the chapter “A Fortunate Man and Dongtinghong” from “Amazing Tales-First Series,” presenting new concepts and finding relevant supporting materials based on previous research.

Using Corpus Linguistics as a Tool in Legal Interpretation

Over the past decade, the application of corpus linguistics in legal interpretation has received attention from a group of scholars that engage in legal academics and linguistics. When the law takes into account the distribution of language usage, the application of corpus linguistics can help with addressing legal challenges. Before concluding that corpus analysis is optimally persuasive, the study addresses four difficulties that need to be addressed: The distribution of language use among a certain community must be the primary focus of the legal problem; Second, what constitutes a "ordinary" reading should be determined by the court; Thirdly, while searching a corpus to determine a term's usual meaning, one must predetermine what to look for; Fourth, there are a variety of reasons that a given meaning may turn up weak in a corpus search, and they should be recognized. Through analysis, this paper finds that though drawing on academic research and the experience of foreign judicial practice, Chinese scholars can enrich the research methods of the interdisciplinary field of law and linguistics, and provide inspiration for the nascent movement and the development of judicial practice.

Analysis of the Phenomenon of “Involution” among Young People

"Involution" among young people refers to the continuous efforts of the young generation in pursuit of better grades, career development, and quality of life in today's competitive social environment. This phenomenon reflects the problems of the current education system because the school evaluation system focuses too much on scores and rankings. It is also associated with a highly competitive job market. As the economy slows down, young people are facing increasing pressure to find a job. There is also the phenomenon of "involution" in pursuing a better quality of life. With the popularity of social media and the advent of the information age, many young people measure their happiness by comparing themselves with others in terms of material conditions and travel experiences. This comparison mentality encourages them to constantly exert pressure on the outside world and chase the so-called "success" standard. In this context, this paper studies the characteristics, causes, and problems of the phenomenon of “involution” among young people in China. According to analysis, it is concluded that the phenomenon of "involution" exhibits evident utilitarian characteristics and can weaken team collaboration. It is mainly caused by parental expectations, societal norms and values, and the education system. The "involution" phenomenon leads to excessive competition and an unbalanced distribution of resources. In addition, it also hurts the education system and brings negative impacts on the workplace.
