Abstract

This thesis primarily delves into the historical evolution and current state of interactive filmmaking. It places special emphasis on the pivotal role played by "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch," a groundbreaking work in the interactive film genre. Through a comprehensive analysis of the film's interactive elements, plot structures, and overall audience reception, this study identifies prevalent challenges within the contemporary interactive film landscape. It then proceeds to offer insightful recommendations aimed at fostering the advancement of interactive filmmaking in the future. By scrutinizing the intricate facets of interactive storytelling and the way they contribute to the overall cinematic experience, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the genre's strengths and weaknesses while providing valuable guidance for its continued growth and innovation.
